What We Believe

We believe that there is one and only one true and living God who is the Creator of all things and man. (Deuteronomy 6:4)

We believe in the Holy Trinity, one God eternally existent in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)

We believe the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through faith in Jesus Christ and is a gift of God.  (Ephesians 2:8)

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His death on the cross to reconcile us to God, the Father; in His bodily resurrection from the dead; in His ascension into heaven to the right hand of God, the Father; and in His personal return to the earth to rule.

We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins and that God did raise Him from the dead and that in confession and believing we are saved.  (Romans 10:9)

We believe Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, without error, and is the final authority in matters of faith and sufficient for Christian life and practice.  (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe the Church is the fellowship of the redeemed, the body of Christ, the people of God, chosen by God for mission in the world.  (Acts 2:46-47; Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe God calls all people to respond in faith to the gospel of Jesus Christ, whereby they become members of the universal church of God.  With Christ as the head, this community is the body of Christ on earth.  (Colossians 1:18-23)
